NaNoWriMo

NaNoWriMo stands for NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth. It starts on 1st November and ends on 30th Nov. The challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. however if you are under 13 you can set your own goal.I plan on writing a 30,000 word novel in 30 days. I will be posting excerpts on here and on my tumblr. So you can look out for those. 1000 words a day is ideal but on top of homework,extra-curriculars and school it could become quite hard to juggle everything. It will officially start in 1h and a bit and I'm ready to roll.

Off To Vancouver!!

Okay so maybe I'm not going to Vancouver but I went to see off two family members who are going over there for a whole year. The fact that the flight was at 9:15am and we had to be there at 7:15 meant getting up at 5:00. Which is too early to be awake during the holidays,especially seeing as we only have 4 days left until school. I really have nothing else to say because I was really tired today from the early-morning adventure at Gatwick.

Pony Trekking Again!!

So I forgot to mention this in my last post about 20 seconds ago but we went Pony Trekking again. Once more it was in the Brecon Beacons but instead of going to Pentre riding stables we went to Travelog Farm which was very close to Pentre. We did 3 days of riding which included a full day ride. This time I rode a Welsh pony called Merlin and Larry rode a horse called King. While we were there we went back into England to go to Hay-on-Wye which has the largest second-hand bookshop in the world. And a gold postbox.

School?Life?Getting up before 10?+City of Bones review

So in 1 week i'll be going back to school(Nooooooo!!). And because it's Yr 6 I've got my Entrance exams and SATs. But I've also got a week-long trip to Paris and the school musical. and the fact we'll be lording over the rest of the school.YAY!

On a completely separate note on August 21st me and my sister went to see The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones(starring Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins). My sister is in fact seeing it again today with one of her friends. As The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare are some of my favourite books ever, just under The Infernal Devices by the same author,I'm a little biased but I loved City of Bones. While it did have some plot holes and details from the books were taken out,the director had to miss some things out so the movie wouldn't be 4 hours long! So I don't understand what the critics are moaning about. From the reviews on IMDb multiple people enjoyed it. I quote one such reviewer who gave it nine stars "I'm a 39 year old male who has never read the books". The critics are just idiots mainly.

Right,after that rant I think you can tell I'm quite passionate about these books and movie.But the good news even after the poor reception of City of Bones,City of Ashes(2nd book in the series) will definitely be released in 2014.

So to sum up school soon, City of Bones=great movie and I'm gonna go back to re-reading The Mortal Instruments and watching YouTube.

P.P.S I got moved up to the 3 o'clock riding which is more advanced then my last class,however I now have to go to church. I'm totes spiritual and stuff.

Toronto and other stuff

 I'm currently in Toronto after my first and final term at Finton House ended.I'm gonna go to JAPS in the new year!Anyways we have been in Toronto since Friday and we haven't really done much

.  1.We went to see the Hobbit.

3.Hmmm 

4.We ate stuff.

5.We did go up the Cn tower

.  Yeah that's about it.We are returning home to Londinium in 1 day (Yes!) and we wil arrive home late on the 23rd.I'm actually looking forward to the plane journey!That shows how much I can't stand Toronto.Looking outside my window I am greeted by the charming view of a construction site here in supposedly Toronto city centre.It's so quiet!All the time!And cold... When we went up the CN tower there is a glass floor and Mo,Larry and Mum made me lie on it so they could take a picture because they were all to scared to do it themselves.Traitors. We have left our darling dog with certain people who shall remain unnamed.Our poor dog.She must be so lonely in Bristol. So yeah!  

I am waiting for Beautiful Creatures(54 days),City Of Bones (8 months 2 days)and  Clockwork Princess (88 days)to come out.  Adios,Amigos!  Ally  

Tae kwon do and Malaysia

A few days ago me and Dad went to see the Tae Kwon Do at the ExCel because I do it outside of school.It was in the evening so we only stayed for an hour.It is really quick!There are 3 rounds.Each round is two minutes long.You get points on what you do.For instance if you do a turning head-kick it gives you 4 points.The person at the end who has the most points wins!

This evening at 6:00 we're going to leave for Gatwick to get there in time for check-in at 7:15. At9:15 we're leaving Gatwick for ... Malaysia!I can't wait!It is still 2 hours away at time of writing.

One more thing

I forgot to mention that me and Larry moved up Riding lessons so we are now in more advanced classes.I have started to canter!

I also went on a pony trekking holiday in the Brecon Beacons.I rode  the same pony Sapphire  the whole time.We were on bridlepaths for two days.On the second day me and Larry had a canter in a big field.On the third day me and Larry went up into the mountains and had a canter on the top.Sapphire was the fastest of all of them.All the horses were very sure footed and fit.We met this nice Swedish girl who owned several horses back in Sweden.And Larry had just got braces in so she can't bite anything.On the way there we stopped to have burgers and she had to tear them apart.LOL.

So much stuff!

So much has happened since I last blogged.
I did 3 performances of Guys and Dolls with my choir and a local secondary school.
I found out that I am going to go to a new school called Finton House in September.(and it is private!)
I visited the Golden Hinde.
I got a merit in my Flute exam. I may have mentioned this already.
I finished school on 20th July.

In a few days I'm going to Malaysia on Emirates,which means we can watch movies:-O.
I presume everyone knows that the Olympics are in London this year.
I will be watching:
Equestrian( Paralympics)
Athletics( Paralympics )
Tae-kwon-do.
I've also seen Badminton and mo saw the Fencing.

Last week of school!

This week was the last week of school and it was really fun!
We did about a million play rehearsals for our Tudor play and I found out what my costume is.I've got to wear all my riding gear and have some sort of hacking jacket.Today there was a big Jubilee party at school to celebrate the Queen's diamond Jubilee. Dad said that on Sunday we are going to see the River Pageant along the Thames.

Also in July my choir is doing a production of Guys and Dolls with St. Cecilia's choir.AND I'm going for an overnight trip with my class to visit a replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship, the Golden Hinde.

The Hunger Games

Today I watched The Hunger Games.It's really good!It is about 2 and a half hrs long but every minute is fantastic.Mo and Larry went to see it on Friday and I went with Dad today.The special effects are really cool.10+ 11/10

Riding!

Today at my riding lesson I got to ride a pony called Riley. He's still a pony but he's bigger then the ponies I normally ride. His trot is really bouncy so it's quite hard to do sitting trot. We were doing an exercise where we hold a crop in between our thumbs to help us steer and keep the reins the right length. I stumbled a bit when I dismounted because he was so tall. Also mum might be getting tickets for Badminton Horse Trials in May. i can't wait!

Half Term!!!

Hello,
It's half term for me and Mo but Larry is still at school. She is not best pleased. She woke me up at the crack of dawn! So far I haven't done much. when I say not much I mean NOTHING. Hopefully I'm gonna be seeing a couple of friends. I might watch some movies at the cinema. Nothing very interesting.

Sing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
Yesterday I went to the Elliott School in Putney with my choir for the Mayor's Carol Concert!!!We sang God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen in front of more than 300 people!We were the biggest single school choir there with over 60 children.I say single school because there was also a 3/4 Vocal strategy group which was five children from each of the choirs or dance groups all joined together.They sang Dona Nobis and Winter Wonderland.Our five from allfarthing were Emily,Oscar and Nick from my class and Tallulah and Shaehroz from the other.It was fantastic being up there and I felt so proud of myself when we were up.There was St Anne's school and they did a dance routine with cartwheels and breakdancing in it!We left straight from school 15 minutes early at 3:15 and we didn't finish the show until 8:30!We had to eat dinner there and I taught my friend Lara how to play Concentration.Finally we went home and I got my name in the programme!

School and other stuff

School's started.Most people would be extremely annoyed but I like school especially being able to see my friends.Well it's nearly October half term and we're going to Rome!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm very excited only Larry only knows a teensy bit of Italian so I'm a little worried.Still it will be very cool because we're staying in a hotel(OMG)near to some the famous places.Well that's it until next time.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Today for lunch we went to this place called Dawat(see title) for some Indian food.I had some lamb curry,pilau rice,poppadom,fried fish and some dahl.I also had a mango yoghurt drink called lassi and a spongy sweet called gulabjumun.It was all fantastic!Nothing much else happened today so...

Yesterday my Grand-parents arrived to stay for 3 days.Today we all went to the nightingale pub for lunch.We ordered:sausages and mash for me,liver and bacon for grandpa,2 macaroni cheeses for Larry and grandma and 2 steak pies for Dad and Mo.
After that we were absolutely stuffed!So Dad's gone for a looooong snooze.

Hello everybode

Today whilst at my riding lesson I was trotting about to do Slalom around some cones when the lazy pony I was riding burst into a canter!I was really surprised but I managed to keep a cool head and pull the reins enough to make him slow down into a trot after he had cantered the whole long side(40 metres)!

The pony club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody,

Sorry I haven't written for a while but I forgot, anyways on Thursday I wen't this fantastic club called the pony club(see title)at my local stables.At the pony club we do fun stuff with the horses and ponies like tacking up,grooming and riding.We were doing that day grooming on a pony called Eddie.I brushed with the body brush,gave him a massage with the rubber curry comb and plaited his mane!It was such fun and I'm definitely going back on thursday because Mum's made me a member.I can't wait till next week!
